Cookie Policy

Domains

Our websites operate across multiple domains. Our main website at nethermind.io is an informational site and does not directly provide an online product or service to users. Our subdomains (such as auditagent.nethermind.io) provide services directly to users.

This distinction is relevant to how certain cookies are classified. Some cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our service-providing subdomains require your consent when encountered on our main domain, because the strictly necessary exemption under applicable law applies only where a cookie is essential to provide a service that you have actively requested. On nethermind.io, where no such service is being provided, we rely on consent instead. In the table below, we reflect this distinction by showing the applicable classification separately for each domain.

Tracking Technologies

When you use our website, we may collect information about you through a variety of storage and access technologies, including:

  • Cookies – small text files placed on your device that store information about your browsing session or preferences.

  • Local storage and session storage – similar to cookies but stored directly in your browser and capable of holding larger amounts of data.

  • Pixel tags and web beacons – tiny invisible images embedded in web pages or emails that signal when content has been accessed.

  • Link decoration – the addition of unique identifiers to URLs so that we can track which links you click and connect activity across pages or sessions.

  • Navigational and clickstream tracking – recording the sequence of pages you visit, the links you follow, and other interactions with our website.

  • Device and browser fingerprinting – collecting technical characteristics of your device (such as browser type, screen resolution, and installed fonts).

  • SDKs and tracking scripts – third-party code embedded in our website that may collect data about your behaviour on our behalf.

For simplicity, in this Cookie Policy we refer to all of these technologies collectively as "cookies". Where a distinction is relevant, we will explain it.

Cookies We Use

We use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our websites and services. On our service-providing subdomains (such as auditagent.nethermind.io), these cookies are always enabled because the relevant service cannot function without them. They include cookies that enable core security features, protect against fraudulent or automated activity, and ensure our content is delivered correctly. You can switch these cookies off in your browser settings but you may then not be able to access all or parts of the relevant service.

  • Analytical or performance cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors to our website and to understand how visitors navigate and interact with our content. This helps us to improve the way our website works and to ensure that users can find what they are looking for.

  • Functionality cookies. These cookies enable our website to provide enhanced functionality by connecting to third-party services, such as displaying embedded video content or code snippets. If these cookies are not permitted, some or all of these features may not function correctly.

  • Targeting or advertising cookies. These cookies record your visit to our website, the pages you have visited, and the links you have followed. We and our third-party partners use this information to make the advertising displayed to you more relevant to your interests, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them in the table below:

Reddit Ads (pixel)
Pixel tag in ad_rdt_uuid
We use a Reddit tracking pixel embedded in our Reddit advertisements to understand where users are coming from when they arrive at our website via a Reddit campaign. When you see or click our ad on Reddit, Reddit’s pixel fires and Reddit receives data about that interaction. The pixel also sets a cookie on our website, which is a persistent visitor identifier for cross-session conversion attribution and audience building.
